The Zeitgeist Movement

March 28, 2011

To TZM – Join me in this video project

I’m working on creating a series of video interviews with – Zeitgeist
NYC Meeting “the location of residence” – “Name or alias of the
member” and Why I Joined The Movement in the title. If you do a search
on youtube for “zeitgeist why i joined” you should see a couple of the
videos come up. If we all start following this template or a similar
one with “why i joined” within the title and in the tag line also
adding related information such as age or a website that they want to
promote and of course adding your name and or website, it will help
with the branding/marking of the project and promotion of the movement
and increase the chances of it being picked up on different searches
on the net. It does not have to be an elaborate set up, I use a small canon g7.

After the upload, re-post in on
different sites, blogs, email friends and so forth. Even if you don’t
upload an interview simply re-posting and sending would be grrreatly
appreciated. I hope some of you can join me in the project and that
this goes global. Lets learn from the corporate/government PR models
to promote something that’s actually better far all mankind.

My goal is to show how people, not just that look different but also
have different speech patterns, are of different ages and so forth are
involved, so more people feel they can relate to what we are doing and
who we’re working with – everybody, as in EVERYBODY. Just as profit
driven companies try to convey, lets convey that same message and be
genuine about it. Minimizing profiling and understanding that everyone
has something to contribute.

The issue is appreciating the diverse capacity of individuals as a
whole. Since this requires a global paradigm shift lets start
concerning ourselves even more with truly being more inclusive and
sensitive to others. It is the globe we are working on changing right?
We must be in a state of constant development in a broader sense. Its
been great working with everyone, lets keep up the excellent work.
Thanks for your time everybody…we need your support.

Venceremos Brigade

March 28, 2011
What is the Venceremos Brigade?

In 1969, a coalition of young people formed the Venceremos ("We Shall Overcome") Brigade, as a means of showing solidarity with the Cuban Revolution by working side by side with Cuban workers and challenging U.S. policies towards Cuba, including the economic blockade and our government’s ban on travel to the island. The first Brigades participated in sugar harvests and subsequent Brigades have done agricultural and construction work in many parts of the island...

My First Trip to the IFC (International Film Center)

March 28, 2011

The IFC (International Film Center) is a small theater located in the west village. I was there to see "Crude – The Real Price of Oil" a film by Joe Berlinger. That afternoon, the IFC was having two of the film contributors as guests for a Q & A after the film. Before the film started they had a slide show of previous guests they’ve had at the theater, which I thought was kinda interesting. After that they displayed a very cool short film, on an artist’s work from beginning to end of e...

What Culture Pirates Means to Me

 The Cycle

The items in the first characters mouth represent consumption. Left simplistic, leaving room for interpretation as to what consumption means to you. With so many items being consumed at once, the character’s jaw is broken and the face disfigured. The tear of blood represents, the spikes of cancer rates, obesity, asthma, disease overall, pollution, the displacement of millions of people in order to build dams, wars, extinction. With all that, in pain, the character gives all its...
